“mach mich groß” is a critical examination of the stereotypical role of a male fashion photographer in London in the 60s. The work refers to the British-Italian thriller "BLOW UP" by Michelangelo Antonioni from 1966. The series portrays a silenced femininity in the fashion photography of that time. With a pretty face in silence to great success. Women*, figures without boundaries, constantly exceeded. Sculpted by someone else's hand; robbed of one's own will and killed of one's own power. Without understanding, but with a prize and a crown from Cannes, the film tells of harsh realities and widespread role models in the binary distribution of power at that time. In fashion there are only servants waiting to be repented.
