(W)HOLE VESSELS is a reclamation of a long-lost sense of primal trust — a return to self-worth and spirituality beyond the structures that once defined and confined it. The title deliberately echoes Broken Vessels, a worship song that held deep personal significance during my years as a worship leader in a conservative Russian-German Baptist congregation. The song speaks of redemption through divine grace: we, the sinners, as broken vessels made whole only through the Father’s mercy.

After my coming out and subsequent exclusion from that community, it took years to rebuild a spiritual ground that was no longer dependent on external validation. Whole Vessels marks this process of self-reclamation — a quiet yet defiant assertion of being complete without divine intervention.
